Rosan Roeslani: Danantara’s Revenue Could Reach Rp 13 Trillion within 5 Years

JAKARTA, June 17 (CNBC Indonesia/ANTARA/inews.id) — Rosan Roeslani, CEO of Badan Pengelola Investasi Daya Anagata Nusantara (Danantara), is optimistic that Danantara’s revenue could reach Rp 13 trillion within the next 5 years. Rosan made this statement during the “Entrepreneurial Leadership in Action” event at Paramadina University in Jakarta. According to Rosan, this projection is based on strategies to maximize profits from the dividends of 50 state-owned enterprises and 889 subsidiaries, without depending on additional state funding. The dividends, typically routed directly into the state budget, will be leveraged to fund industrial and infrastructure projects across the country. Over the past 10 years, total investment entering Indonesia has reached about Rp 9,100 trillion. Rosan aims to raise this amount to Rp 13,000 trillion within 5 years, in order to help Indonesia’s economic growth reach 8% by 2029. Danantara is projected to manage assets valued at Rp 14,700 trillion (about USD 900 billion), including key companies such as Bank Mandiri, BNI, BRI, Pertamina, PLN, and Telkom. Rosan also emphasized Danantara’s dual mission: generating sustainable profits while creating millions of high-quality jobs. He stressed the importance of collaboration with the private sector and a focus on industrial downstream processing to absorb the growing workforce — nearly 2 million new babies are born in Indonesia each year. With a more flexible financing structure through the management of dividends, Rosan believes Danantara has a huge opportunity to become a powerful investment magnet and drive inclusive economic growth across Indonesia.
